Starting with organic Marlborough kosher sea salt, we've blended smoky chipotle, cayenne, chilli flakes, sumac, lemon peel, tomato flakes, nutritional yeast, celery seeds and white pepper into something that tastes a bit like a dry hot sauce.
The nutritional yeast and tomato flakes create an umami bomb, while horopito and kawakawa add a distinctly Kiwi peppery finish you won't find in imported chilli salts.
It's hot, but not stupidly hot. Enough heat to know it's there, without overpowering the flavour.
Shake It, Sprinkle It, Cook With It
Brilliant on steak, eggs, avocado, chips and seafood, but it really comes alive when added during cooking.
Stir a pinch through pasta sauce, bolognese or a stir-fry. Sprinkle it over hot chips, roast vegetables, popcorn or eggs. Use it anywhere you'd normally reach for salt, pepper or a chilli seasoning.
